چکیده

Background Due to the rich anatomic information available, MRI is an attractive tool for guiding endovascular interventions. Susceptibility artifact-based tracking using paramagnetic markers [1] is a simple and economical approach, but has been used with limited enthusiasm partly because of the image degradation that results from such devices. In this work, a susceptibility-based tracking catheter which can be mechanically turned ON and OFF [2] is presented with images in phantoms and animals studies.

A Novel Catheter Tracking Method Using Reversed Polarization

INTRODUCTION: Accurate visualization of guidewires and catheters during a vascular intervention(1,2) procedure is critically important. With this aim, many tracking techniques have been developed. Automatic identification of the position of the catheter in passive tracking techniques(3) is difficult, but in active catheter tracking techniques(1,2,4), it is possible to obtain a catheter and back...

3D MRI-guided Passive Catheter Tracking and Visualization using HYPR-based Techniques

INTRODUCTION Catheter tracking and visualization require both good spatial and temporal resolution. Achieving simultaneously both high temporal and spatial resolution is extremely difficult with current methods that use Cartesian k-space acquisition employing phase encoding. To date, passive device tracking and visualization techniques have typically been limited to two dimensions [1-2]. This i...

Evaluation of Bactereuria and Antimicrobial Susceptibility among Hospitalized Patients With and Without Catheter in Kerman Province- Iran in 2011

Nearly 15% to 25% of patients in general hospitals have a catheter at some timeduring their stay. Up to 97% of nosocomial urinary tract infections (UTIs) are relatedto catheter. The type of bacteremia is usually polymicrobial which makes the treatmentmore difficult. Previous studies showed an increase in mortality from bacteremia in thesepatients. The aim of the present study was to compare the...

Tracking Control of Uncertain Non - Iinear MIMO System Using Modified Sliding Surfaces for Attitude Large Maneuver of Satellites on Orbit

Designing a robust tracking control for a non-linear MIMO system with uncertainty is one of the most complicated control problems. In this paper, sliding mode changed to non-linear controllable canonical form by input-output linearization. This, sliding surfaces can be defined in a way that we can de-couple equations and indicate the sliding conditions of multi-variable controller system. The u...
